Fall Festival at Kauffman Museum

FreeBethel College will celebrate the 50th Fall Fest on October 3, 2020. Kauffman Museum will be open and free to celebrate Bethel College Fall Festival, October 1-3, from 9:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
We are taking the following precautions to keep our visitors and staff members safe. Our maximum capacity in the museum building is currently FOUR in the museum store, EIGHT in the special exhibit gallery, TWENTY in the museum permanent. exhibition space. 2020 Kauffman Museum Fall Fest Schedule
Thursday, October 1
9:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. | Current Special Exhibit | Sorting Out Race: Examining Racial Identity and Stereotypes in Thrift Store Donations is the special exhibit that will be on display at Kauffman Museum Fall Fest weekend.
Friday, October 2
9:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. | Current Special Exhibit | Sorting Out Race: Examining Racial Identity and Stereotypes in Thrift Store Donations is the special exhibit that will be on display at Kauffman Museum Fall Fest weekend.
Saturday, October 3
7:30 a.m. – 8:30 a.m. | Bird Walk | Local birding expert, Gregg Friesen, will lead a one-hour, socially-distanced, 1.5-mile walk along Bethel’s Sand Creek Trail, looking and listening for birds.
9:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. | Outdoor All Day
• Old-time games including stilts, Bison Tic-Tac-Toe, and hoop rolling in front of the museum building.
• Environmental Action Club plant sale.
9:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. | Indoor All Day
• Sorting Out Race: Examining Racial Identity and Stereotypes in Thrift Store Donations is the special exhibit that will be on display at Kauffman Museum Fall Fest weekend.
• Friends of the Museum Mini Flea Market. Items collected by friends, including presidential memorabilia, books, and vintage odds-and-ends. Proceeds fund museum programming.
1:00 p.m. | Hoop Rolling Contest | For Bethel College students.
3:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. | Bethel College Switchboard Operator Reunion | Did you work at the BC switchboard? Stop by the museum to visit with other switchboard operators! The Bethel College switchboard was part of the spring student exhibition, Meta: an Exhibition about Exhibitions and is being redisplayed this weekend.
