Sunday, August 29, 3:00, virtual presentation “Disparities in Tobacco Marketing and Use: a historical look at how tobacco was marketed and to whom” by Lorrie Kessler, Harvey County Health Department.

Kessler will discuss how and why large tobacco companies have enabled health disparities by marketing addictive, potentially fatal products. Marketing strategies—from doctors offering product preferences in the 1900s to social media campaigns targeting teenagers and vaping—have impacted generations of Americans.
